THEN...
In 1933, Mrs. Bertha Crabill, Mrs. Margaret Martin and Mrs. Laura Mae Carlisle founded Junior Service League in Springfield,
Ohio. Their goal was to take an active interest in charitable and civic enterprises and to assist, where needed, in Springfield
welfare organizations.
NOW...
The women of Junior Service League continue to support and enhance the Springfield community through innovative service
projects, such as the Kentucky Derby Party and Holiday Shopping Spectacular. Funds raised through these projects are
redistributed throughout the community through grants.
JSL members also serve the community through Interfaith Hospitality Network by serving meals and assisting with Christmas
tree sales.
