JSL Then...
In 1933, Mrs. Bertha Crabill, Mrs. Margaret Martin and Mrs. Laura Mae Carlisle founded Junior Service League in Springfield. Their original goal was to take an active interest in charitable and civic enterprises and to assist, where needed, in Springfield welfare organizations.
JSL Now...
Junior Service League supports and enhances the Springfield, Ohio, community through innovative service projects, including a Kentucky Derby Event and a Holiday Shopping Spectacular. Funds raised through these projects are redistributed throughout the community through grants.Each year, Junior Service League selects one organization to receive all its' members community service hours. This year, JSL is working with Catholic Charities.
Membership
Membership is open to women who are at least 21 years of age, live or work in Springfield or a surrounding area, and are interested in meeting new people and getting involved in their community.
